DevOps Engineer

TBA a growing software and consultancy company that focuses on the logistical processes of container terminals, intermodal facilities, airports, factories and other logistics systems all over the world. Because the demand for our software products has grown considerably, we are looking for reinforcement of our ICT department in our Delft (The Netherlands) office.

Your task as DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer in our Delft office (The Netherlands), you will work in a multi-location team on maintaining and improving our development and testing infrastructure. And taking care of building and deploying of our software products of which our TEAMS product has the main focus.

TEAMS is an application that supports state of the art container terminals in robotised container transport. In other words, the TEAMS product runs the primary process of moving containers from vessel to storage yard and vice versa. TEAMS is developed in Java and C++ and consists of several standard components. However, as no terminal is the same, TEAMS must be configured in a unique way for each customer.

In short, you will be working on:

  • Maintenance of our development servers and tooling
  • Improvement of our build and deployment toolset in cooperation with our software development team
  • Deployment of our TEAMS product at TBA and customer sites
  • Deploy and support 3rd party products in our test environments

Our ideal candidate for the position of DevOps Engineer

  • Is passionate about Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment and automation and likes to help people
  • Is a team player and likes to work towards solutions together
  • Has work experience in a DevOps role
  • Has knowledge and preferably experience with most of the following: Linux, scripting, databases (MSSQL, Oracle), SQL, Jenkins, git, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence), build systems
  • Basic knowledge about programming and programming languages, preferably with Java and/or C++
  • Is a creative and an analytical thinker
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English, German is a bonus
  • Has a relevant BSc degree or similar level of education
